1 tilapia (about 600g) [I use chicken, cut into cubes]
100g green capsicum, quartered [I use a mixture of red & green capsicum]
100g onion, quartered
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp sweet potato flour [I use cornflour]
5 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tsp sugar

Method:
1. Season chicken with 1/2 tsp salt, then coat with 3 tbsp of cornflour. Deep-fry till golden brown, drain.
2. Heat wok, add 3 tbsp of oil, stir-fry onion and green capsicum till cooked, add tomato sauce and sugar, stir well, add chicken and mix well. Serve.

Note: I added baby tomatoes, spring onions. I added water to make more gravy, cuz my husband says it's kinda dry.
For sure, its delicious. Try it out.

Cut tempeh into thin slices, mix cornflour, turmeric powder, salt & water in a large bowl. Dip the thin slices of tempeh in the mixture. Deep fry, drain, & deep fry for 2nd time for more crisp.

Today's dinner

Salad
Chix
Sekarang, tengah masak dinner. Hari ini, swami nak salad ajer, so that's quite simple, just cut up cabbage, carrots, cucumber, 2 boiled eggs, added chickpeas and sunflower seeds as well. As for the dressing, I actually used my kawan recipe : mayo + tomato sauce + sugar = thousand island dressing.

As for my dinner, I'll be having roasted chix and mashed potatoes.

Roasted chix
Ingredients : 1 quarter of chix, half a lemon juiced, 1 onion, spaghetti herbs, black pepper, salt,, olive oil and water(gravy)
Method : Mixed well and marinate chix. Put in oven and roast.

Mashed potatoes:
Ingredients: 1 boiled potato, 1/2 roasted garlic, cheese, salt, black pepper, milk and butter(olive oil)
Method: Mixed well and mashed as according to your liking.

Now, we makan first, later then upload the pics.
SEDAPNYA!

wah, bestnyer klu makan simple2 cam ni ....... our meal usually berat2 aja, nasi dan yang seangkatan dengannya. by the way, thanks for the link Tue 14-Nov-2006 06:04

Seaweed snack

I pergi ruma kawan, one of the hari raya kueh was this, they taste really good if you are a fan of seaweed. Plus point - it is nutritious except for the frying part. I tried to bake, but it didn't turn out good. Awak boleh substitute seaweed for black and white sesame seeds ( but I belum cuba). Swami saya and I are fans of Japanese food. We love the octopus balls, fantastic. (drooling ...). Btw, jgn beli seaweed ada wasabi, else you be coughing all the way. hahaha

Ingredients:

Seaweed (I use those 3" by 1" in small packet, the taste is better)
egg white (You can use the egg yolks to make a lemon/orange pie)
popiah skin

Method:

1. Brush popiah skin with egg white, lay the seaweed on it. Brush another popiah skin with egg white, use this piece to cover the 1st piece. Leave aside for a while (to dry slightly). I use a scissors to cut them into rectangular shapes. (This part is a little tedious, tried using the pizza cutter - it didn't work)
2. Fry till lightly brown.

I beli ka kedai mama, this brand taste nicer. I think you should be able to find it in cold storage. Hargi ini S$3.50. Sun 12-Nov-2006 04:14

I think for nori sheets, you can get it in Malaysia Giant. I beli b4, but dah lama, dah lupa. You might wanna change the normal sushi wrap to rice ball, then use one seasoned seaweed to clip it, cantiknya. Sun 12-Nov-2006 04:17
